NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene powder involves heating the cavity of reaction furnace to set the temperature under protective atmosphere of carrier gas, adding transition group metal salt to cavity as substrate, maintaining the temperature for 0-10 minutes, introducing mixed atmosphere of carbon source gas, reducing gas and carrier gas into the cavity, subjecting high melting point metal salt to reduction reaction under mixed atmosphere for 1-60 minutes, catalytically growing graphene on the surface of the reduced metal salt substrate and removing the reaction product under protective atmosphere of carrier gas. The flow ratio of carbon source gas, reducing gas and carrier gas in the mixed atmosphere is 1:0.5-80:0-100. USE - Preparation of graphene powder used as filler. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, economical and produces graphene powder with controllable morphology by consuming less amount of electricity and reaction gas, and utilizes metal salt and etching solution which can be recycled. The graphene powder has high crystallinity with excellent thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity.
