NOVELTY - The composite is formed as a multilayer structure by multi-pass pack rolling (MPP) and consists of packets of layers of carbon (C) in the form of graphite or graphene and metal layers, at least one of which is refractory, and/or metal alloys and/or metal compounds, in which the composition (alloy compounds) contains at least one refractory metal. Between the carbon and refractory metal layers are layers of metal carbide, preferably tantalum carbide. USE - High-strength refractory composite. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a manufacturing method of the high-strength refractory composite.
