NOVELTY - Carbon material supported type cobalt-based catalyst, is new. The auxiliary agent X is ruthenium, chromium, rhenium, gold, and zinc; In the catalyst, the metal cobalt is 5- 35 wt.% (preferably 10-30 wt.%), the content of auxiliary X is 0.01-10 wt.% (preferably 0.1-5 wt.%) of the catalyst weight; carrier C is activated carbon, carbon nanotube, carbon black, graphene, and/or carbon fiber. USE - The catalyst of the invention is used for carbon dioxide hydrogenation to prepare C5 + hydrocarbon, with high selectivity. ADVANTAGE - The preparation method is simple. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a carbon material supported cobalt-based catalyst used in carbon dioxide hydrogenation reaction.
