NOVELTY - Producing aromatic diamine compound, comprises hydrogenating aromatic nitrile compound using a catalyst supported on a support including zeolite, activated carbon, carbon nanotubes and/or graphene and metal including cobalt and/or ruthenium or using a metal catalyst supported on a support under reaction pressure of less than or equal to 50 bar. USE - The method is useful for producing aromatic diamine compound (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The diamine and m-xylylenediamine yield is greater than or equal to 95% (claimed). The method is economical, and easily recovers catalyst.
