▎ 摘　　要

NOVELTY - Preparing modified graphene comprises (i) mixing graphite source with alcohol ether reagents, and performing hydrothermal reaction to obtain graphene and alcohol ether, and (ii) mixing graphene and alcohol ether with the nitrogen-containing compound, ball milling, washing, and drying. USE - The modified graphene is useful in fields of lubricating oils, paints, functional composite materials and batteries (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: realizes the peeling of graphite sheets and the loading of hydrophilic groups on the surface of grapheme; has simple preparation method, mild reaction conditions, and low energy consumption; is environmentally friendly; and uses easily available raw materials. The grapheme: has good compatibility with solvents e.g. water; and has broad application prospects compared with existing technology. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for modified graphene prepared by the above mentioned method.
