NOVELTY - Silicon oxide-graphite supported platinum (Pt)-nickel (Ni) alloy catalyst comprises macroporous mesoporous silicon dioxide (SiO2) and graphene compound as carrier. The carrier has multistage pore structure. The Pt-Ni alloy is uniformly dispersed in graphene surface. USE - Silicon oxide-graphite supported platinum (Pt)-nickel (Ni) alloy catalyst used for carbon monoxide preferential oxidation reaction. ADVANTAGE - The catalyst has simple and easy preparation, and low temperature catalytic activity and selectivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the preparation of silicon oxide-graphite supported platinum (Pt)-nickel (Ni) alloy catalyst comprising preparing natural crystalline flake graphite as carbon source, taking ethyl orthosilicate as silicon source, preparing triblock copolymer nonionic surfactant P123 soft template mesoporous silicon oxide-graphite oxide hydrosol, filling structure of integrated type macroporous polystyrene template on low vacuum condition, repeatedly filling higher than initial template of 300-500%, maintaining block integral structure, air blowing-drying at 60-100 degrees C, heating at heating rate of 1-10 degrees C/min to 600-1000 degrees C under nitrogen atmosphere, roasting to remove; and composite crushing into 40-200 meshes particles, dipping into chloroplatinic acid and nickel nitrate precursor solution, and vacuum condensation drying.
