NOVELTY - Preparing high specific surface area graphene comprising (i) using carbon-containing precursor, nitrogen-containing precursor and zinc precursor, mixing uniformly, (ii) placing above mentioned mixture in an oxygen-free atmosphere, maintaining temperature at 300-600 degrees C, and heating for 0.5-10 hours, (iii)using step (ii) product, heating to 700-1500 degrees C, incubating to produce a black solid and to obtain the final product. USE - The method is useful for preparing high specific surface area graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, economical and suitable for industrial production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for high specific surface area graphene which is prepared by above method.
