NOVELTY - Electrochemically preparing graphene comprises (a) placing the graphite foil in a sodium hydroxide solution for first impregnation treatment, taking out and placing in ammonium chloride solution and carrying out second impregnation treatment to obtain pre-intercalated graphite foils, (b) inserting the two pre-intercalated graphite foils in the acidic electrolyte as electrode intervals, passing bipolar pulsed direct current between the two electrodes to electrochemically strip the graphite foil, ultrasonically filtering the obtained graphene suspension, washing and vacuum-drying. USE - The method is useful for electrochemically preparing graphene. ADVANTAGE - The method is capable of electrochemically preparing graphene without oxidant and reducing agent, safe, simple, and shortens the time, suitable for large scale preparation of high quality graphene.
