NOVELTY - Graphene preparation involves passing feed solution comprising graphite through a high pressure homogenizer comprising an inlet, an outlet, and a microchannel connecting between the inlet and the outlet. The microchannel has a micrometer-scale diameter. The feed solution comprises 2-50 wt.% polymer (I). USE - Method for preparing graphene. ADVANTAGE - The method prepares the graphene in a simple manner with enhanced graphene exfoliation efficiency and dispersion stability in high pressure homogenization. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Graphene preparation involves passing feed solution comprising graphite through a high pressure homogenizer comprising an inlet, an outlet, and a microchannel connecting between the inlet and the outlet. The microchannel has a micrometer-scale diameter. The feed solution comprises 2-50 wt.% polymer of general formula (I). X=a bond or 4-100C aryl or heteroaryl group; R=hydrogen, 3-100C alkyl, SH, OH, NH2 or CH2NH2 group; and n=2-300.
