NOVELTY - Preparing composition of graphene and activated carbon comprises pre-treating phenol-based cation exchange resin and acrylic acid type cation exchange resin, mixing the mixture at a mass ratio of 0.3-5:1, to obtain a mixed resin, loading the mixed resin with a metal catalyst, to obtain a catalyst-loaded resin carbon source, mixing the activated pore former with the resin carbon source, heating at 400-1000 degrees C for 0.5-10 hours, to obtain graphene and activated carbon complexes. USE - The composition is useful in super-capacitors (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple; has excellent electrochemical performance in the super capacitor under 0.1 Ag-1 of the current density, the specific capacity at 290-310 F g-1, circulating for 3000 times and capacity retention ratio is 90-95%.
