NOVELTY - Preparing multilayer graphene by thermal decomposition, comprises mixing uniformly the coal raw material and catalyst according mass ratio, and microwave heating for 5-50 minutes to obtain multilayer graphene. USE - The multilayer graphene is used in lithium ion battery cathode material, adsorption material and catalyst carrier. ADVANTAGE - The method improves yield and content; is economical; utilizes easily available raw materials; has simple preparation process; and has high product performance, which is suitable for large-scale production of graphite.
