NOVELTY - Redox-based graphene comprises 0.01-0.2 wt.% graphene oxide, 0.1-0.3 wt.% cuprous halide, 6.4-10 wt.% concentrated hydrochloric acid, and 89.69-93.3 wt.% deionized water. USE - Used as redox-based graphene. ADVANTAGE - The method: improves carbon/oxygen ratio in grapheme; is suitable for industrial production, and environmentally friendly; and has mild reaction condition. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing redox-based graphene comprising (i) adding cuprous halide in 1/6 of deionized water, adding concentrated hydrochloric acid until dissolving solid to obtain cuprous halide solution, (ii) dispersing graphene oxide in 5/6 of de-ionized water, carrying out ultrasonic processing to obtain graphene oxide dispersion, adding cuprous halide solution and heating, and (iii) subjecting product obtained in the step (ii) for vacuum extraction, washing using hydrochloric acid, and using pure water until neutral, and drying in oven to obtain product.
