NOVELTY - Composite material comprises electroplatable polymer material, graphene, metal material, maleic anhydride, toughening agent, coupling agent and lubricant. USE - The material is used in manufacture of sanitary functional portions, hardware portions, handicrafts and decorations (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material has stable performance, moderate specific gravity, is economical, is widely used in the manufacture of sanitary functional parts, hardware, handicrafts, decorations and other products whose surface needs to be electroplated, does not need to perform polishing and repairing corner procedures before plating or spraying after molding which is environmentally-friendly and energy-saving, and the final product has compact and heavy texture with strength that meets product requirements. The method is simple, environmentally-friendly and convenient for industrial promotion, and has high yield. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a method for preparing the material involving (i) taking electroplatable polymer material, graphene, maleic anhydride and toughening agent as component (A), taking metal material, lubricant, graphene and/or graphite, and coupling agent as component (B), drying components (A) and (B), and performing activation treatment on components (A) and (B) at 8-120 degrees C under stirring, (ii) adding the components (A) and (B) to the mixer and mixing at 200-280 degrees C, and (iii) directly extruding and granulating components (A) and (B), or granulating after tableting and pulverizing to obtain the material particles; and (2) the use of composite material which involves molding composite material by injection molding or extrusion molding or hot pressing, using the composite material as the inner layer material of the main portion, coating inner surface and/or outer surface using polyamide-6, polyamide-66, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene plastic or polarized electroplatable modified polypropylene, molding using co-extrusion, co-injection or co-pressure processing, and performing surface treatment using polishing-free, electroplating/spraying methods to obtain sanitary functional portions, hardware portions, handicrafts and decorations.
