NOVELTY - Preparing modified graphene sponge comprises (i) taking graphene oxide powder, adding graphene oxide powder to deionized water, and uniformly dispersing ultrasonically to obtain aqueous graphene oxide solution, (ii) adding silver nitrate aqueous solution and aqueous citric acid solution to aqueous graphene oxide solution to obtain nano silver/graphene suspension, (iii) adding ethylenediamine and aqueous ammonia to the nano silver/graphene suspension, and stirring well, (iv) immersing cleaned polyurethane sponge in the solution obtained in the step (iii), sealing and placing in a constant temperature water bath at 60-95 degrees C for 8-12 hours, and (v) taking out the product after the reaction and placing in a freeze dryer for drying for 35-48 hours to obtain final product. USE - The method is useful for preparing modified graphene sponge. ADVANTAGE - The modified graphene sponge: capable of efficiently adsorbing formaldehyde; and prevents bacteria from growth on the sponge.
