▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - The method involves mixing contaminated soil with a conductive additive to form a mixture, where the contaminated soil comprises pollutants. A voltage is applied across the mixture, where the voltage is applied in voltage pulses, duration of the pulses is for a duration period and the application of the voltage across the mixture decomposes and removes the pollutants from the contaminated soil to form remediated soil. The pollutants are organic pollutants, metals, metalloids, heavy metals, toxic heavy metal, rare earth metal, main group metal, or transition metal. The organic pollutants are converted to flash graphene. USE - Method for performing soil remediation by flash Joule heating (FJH) in a belt-fed process, in an autonomous process and in a continuous process. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to remediate contaminated soil, which is capable of removing heavy metals from the contaminated soil in an economical manner, and does not require the use of solvents or expensive chemicals, and provides stable and non-toxic form of carbon, and effectively removes heavy metals in contaminated soils. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a system for performing soil remediation. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a schematic view of a FJH system.
