NOVELTY - Fabricating (400) graphene nanoribbon comprises: (a) preparing (410) mask to apply on substrate; (b) depositing (420) graphene layer over substrate surface; (c) applying (430) mask to substrate over graphene layer to achieve masked portion of graphene layer; (d) removing (440) unmasked portion of graphene layer; and (e) removing masking material from remaining portion of graphene layer to leave continuous spiral line of graphene on surface of substrate corresponding with mask. The mask includes continuous line of masking material spiraling outward from first end of line to second end of line. USE - The method is useful for fabricating a graphene nanoribbon. ADVANTAGE - The method provides graphene nanoribbons with long lengths (e.g. of one mile or longer) without encountering breaks, cracks or other discontinuities. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for the graphene nanoribbon, comprising the substrate and a layer of graphene deposited on a surface of the substrate, where a portion of the graphene layer is removed from the surface of the substrate to form a continuous line of graphene on the surface of the substrate spiraling outward from a first end of the line to a second end of the line.
