NOVELTY - Image sensor comprises a substrate (101) including a multiple photoelectric conversion elements, a variable filter layer (CFL) provided on the substrate, and multiple micro lenses provided on the variable filter layer. The variable filter layer comprises multiple first electrodes (151) extending in a first direction, and having a first width in a second direction. The first electro-optical material layer is provided on the multiple first electrodes. The light-transmitting electrode is provided on the first electro-optical material layer. The second electro-optical material layer provided on the light-transmitting electrode. The multiple second electrodes are provided on the second electro-optical material layer, extended in the second direction, and having a second width in the first direction. USE - Image sensor. ADVANTAGE - The image sensor enables to capture a two-dimensional (2D) or three-dimensional (3D) image of an object, and having photoelectric conversion elements that convert light into an amount of electrical current that depends on the intensity of light reflected from the object.
