NOVELTY - A carbon dioxide absorption-release device (1) comprises electrodes (4) comprising a porous composite (3) comprising a conductive component (3a) and a porous component (3b) on the conductive component. The porous component has angstrom-sized or nanometer-sized pores and contains a molecular moiety that exhibits oxidation-reduction activity by electrical response. USE - Device used for absorbing and releasing carbon dioxide (claimed) from carbon dioxide capture and storage plants such as thermal power plants. ADVANTAGE - The device is capable of efficiently absorbing and releasing carbon dioxide with low energy consumption, has excellent heat resistance, water resistance, and conductive property.
