▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Method of performing electrochemical assay involves contacting a sample suspected of containing the analyte with a modified electrode, incubating the sample with the modified electrode, applying a potential suitable for electrochemically oxidizing the oxidizable phenolic group of the analyte and detecting an assay signal associated with electrochemical oxidation of the analyte. The modified electrode comprises a nanocomposite comprising a carbon nanomaterial and an electrocatalyst. USE - Method of performing electrochemical assay used for detecting analyte containing oxidizable phenolic group, such as cannabinoid or its metabolites, such as ( Delta )-tetrahydrocannabinol, in sample such as saliva (all claimed). Can also be used for detecting analyte in sputum, urine and tears. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to perform an electrochemical assay to detect an analyte comprising an oxidizable phenolic group in a rapid, accurate, sensitive and convenient manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) method of modifying electrode to incorporate nanocomposite; and (2) electrochemical sensor.
