NOVELTY - Preparation of fluorescent reduced graphene oxide, involves mixing 2-furan methylamine and reduced graphene oxide, and carrying out grafting reaction under protection atmosphere. USE - Preparation of fluorescent reduced graphene oxide used for detecting trivalent iron (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method provides fluorescent reduced graphene oxide having strong sensitivity to trivalent iron (low limit of 0.0236 nM) and selectivity, and excellent thermal stability and stable fluorescence intensity at a pH of 1-13. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the fluorescent reduced graphene oxide comprising a redox graphene on which 2-furan methylamine is grafted.
