NOVELTY - Production of graphene fiber-containing metal nanoparticles involves wet-spinning graphene oxide dispersion into a coagulation bath containing metal ion chosen from copper ions, silver ions, gold ions, and aluminum ions, forming gel fibers, drying formed gel fibers to produce graphene oxide fiber-containing metal oxide, and reducing metal oxide and graphene oxide by treating dried gel fibers with a chemical agent. USE - Production of graphene fiber-containing metal nanoparticles used for gas sensing and temperature sensing sensor (all claimed). Can also be used for textile materials, strain sensor, energy harvester, energy storage device, dye-sensitized photovoltaic cell, and photodetector. ADVANTAGE - The method enables simple and effective production of graphene fiber-containing metal nanoparticles. The graphene fiber-containing metal nanoparticles provide sensors having excellent gas sensitivity and temperature sensitivity.
