NOVELTY - A covering of a fan unit (100) of an information handling system, comprises: 1) a first portion containing 10-50 wt.% thermally conductive plastic and 50- 90 wt.% post-consumer-recycled (PCR) plastic and/or a biodegradable plastic; and 2) a second portion containing copper and a first aluminum alloy. The first portion and the second portion are configured to couple together to form a volume of space in the fan unit, to contain motor and blades of fan unit. Alternaltey, the first portion of the covering of fan unit, comprises copper and first aluminum alloy; and second portion comprises copper and second aluminum alloy. The bottom covering (101) of fan unit, houses a motor and blades, and the top covering (102) of fan unit, abuts against the bottom covering. The fan is positioned in a space formed between the bottom and top covering. USE - As covering of fan unit in information handling system such as laptop computers. ADVANTAGE - The fan unit has improved sustainability and heat conduction property. The use of recycled copper and optionally PCR plastic and biodegradable plastic in the covering, enables to increase recycle content and renewable content of the covering and the fan unit, and the use of copper, aluminum alloy and optionally thermally conductive plastic, enables to increase thermal conductivity of the covering. The covering has high recycle content and high thermal conductivity.
