NOVELTY - A phenolic resin-graphene aerogel comprises graphene coated with phenolic resin. USE - The phenolic resin-graphene aerogel is useful as an organic dye adsorbent in water (claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of phenolic resin-graphene aerogel, which involves: (S1) mixing graphene oxide hydrosol and phenolic resin nanoparticles, and carrying out reaction to obtain graphene-coated phenolic resin composite material; (S2) adding graphene-coated phenolic resin composite material to sodium hydroxide solution, soaking, separating, and cleaning to obtain etched composite material; and (S3) introducing etched composite material into chitosan solution mixture, freezing, and drying.
