NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide involves preparing an oxidation stabilizer solution by stirring the acid solution and the oxidation stabilizer in the reactor, and adding graphite and potassium permanganate (KMnO4) to the reactor containing the oxidizing stabilizer solution and subjecting to an oxidation reaction. The distilled water is added to the reactant, added hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and stirred to obtain a product containing graphene oxide. The product is washed and dried to obtain graphene oxide powder. USE - Method for preparing graphene oxide. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare graphene oxide maintains the size of the sheet of graphene oxide by inhibiting the formation of the ketone group which is a non-reduced defect formed during the oxidation process in the graphene oxide, and while there is an effect that can produce a low defect graphene oxide is reduced residual bond after reduction of graphene oxide.
