NOVELTY - A layered graphene/metal oxide nanocomposite is composed of single layer of graphene sheets and metal oxide layer which are periodically alternately arranged in parallel. The mass ratio of graphene sheet layer with respect to metal oxide layer is 100:1-10000. USE - Layered graphene/metal oxide nanocomposite is used in bioassay, chemical catalysis, electrochemical energy storage, gas separation, wastewater treatment and environmental protection (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The layered graphene/metal oxide nanocomposite is prepared efficiently and economically by simple method under mild reaction condition. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of layered graphene/metal oxide nanocomposite. A layered graphene frame material is added to an aqueous metal salt solution, and filtered after the aqueous solution of metal salt sufficiently enters the layer of the layered graphene frame material, to obtain wet layered graphene frame material particles containing large amount of aqueous metal salt solution between layers. The obtained wet layered graphene frame material particles are pre-processed to obtain graphene frame material/metal salt precursor composite containing metal salt precursors between graphene layers. The obtained graphene frame material/metal salt precursor composite is then calcined at high temperature to obtain layered graphene/metal oxide nanocomposite.
