NOVELTY - Producing graphene fibers or ribbons by spinning process, comprises (a) providing a spinning solution (1) in which graphene and/or graphene oxide platelets (2) are dispersed, the graphene and/or graphene oxide platelets is present in the spinning solution in at least one layers, where layer plane (3) of the graphene and/or graphene oxide platelets each form the layer plane, and (b) feeding the spinning solution via a feed line (4) to a spinneret (5). The graphene and/or graphene oxide platelets in the feed line and/or in the spinneret and/or at the outlet of the spinneret are aligned by an alignment device (10), preferably with regard to the layer planes of the graphene and/or graphene oxide platelets parallel to a cross-sectional edge of a flow cross-section of the spinneret, preferably to one of the longer cross-sectional edges of a rectangular flow cross-section of the spinneret. USE - The method is useful for producing graphene fibers or ribbons by spinning process. ADVANTAGE - The method improves electrical conductivity of graphene fiber or graphene ribbon by placing graphene and/or graphene oxide platelets in feed line.
