▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Aluminum hybrid composite, comprises aluminum 7075 alloy as the base matrix, silicon carbide as first reinforcing material, 5 wt.% of the composite, and graphite as second reinforcing material, in the range of 0-15 wt.% of the composite. USE - Aluminum hybrid composite for use in manufacturing process of graphite (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composition provides graphite, due to its graphene layered structure acts as solid lubricant when added to metal matrix composite friction between the two contact surfaces is reduced. Once the friction is reduced the wt.% of silicon-carbide as reinforcement can be reduced to achieve improved wear properties without much decrease in ductility. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacturing process aluminum hybrid composite which involves preheating all powders in a muffle furnace at a temperature of at least 110 degrees C for a time period of 1.25 hours to remove moisture, subjecting all powders to a high-energy ball milling using tungsten ball and bowls with 10 mm balls where the powder to ball weight ratio is 1:10, with a milling time period of up to 60 hours and blending and fine grinding done with 300 rpm, to prevent oxidation or sticking of powders on the wall of the vial using a toluene medium, compacting the ground powders under a universal testing machine at a pressure of at least 500 MPa where die and wall lubrication was done manually using zinc stearate before each run, sintering of the compacted material at 580 degrees C in a vacuum, and solidifying the loose powder into a shaped model.
