NOVELTY - A polyvinylpyrrolidone modified sulfur coated graphene /porous carbon composite material is obtained by sulfur/carbon composite porous particles coated on an outer surface of graphene sheet, followed by coating polyvinylpyrrolidone modified graphene sheet and polyvinylpyrrolidone/porous carbon composite material to form graphite electric conductive network, utilizing polyvinylpyrrolidone modified graphene-coated sulfur/carbon composites with graded porous core-shell structure, or coating polyvinylpyrrolidone modified graphene on sulfur/carbon composite porous particle to form protective shell. USE - Polyvinylpyrrolidone modified graphene coated sulfur/porous carbon composite material for use in anode material of sulfur secondary battery. ADVANTAGE - The composite material has better electrochemical property, high capacity, long circulation life and high-rate property. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A polyvinylpyrrolidone modified sulfur coated graphene /porous carbon composite material is obtained by sulfur/carbon composite porous particles coated on an outer surface of graphene sheet, followed by coating polyvinylpyrrolidone modified graphene sheet and polyvinylpyrrolidone/porous carbon composite material to form graphite electric conductive network, utilizing polyvinylpyrrolidone modified graphene-coated sulfur/carbon composites with graded porous core-shell structure, or coating polyvinylpyrrolidone modified graphene on outer surface of sulfur/carbon composite porous particles to form protective shell, absorbing polyvinylpyrrolidone simultaneously by porous carbon surface of graphene/porous carbon composite, establishing fixed connection point between graphene and sulfur/carbon composite porous material, fixing sulfur/carbon composite porous material by forming graphene half cage, and cladding layer comprising sulfur, porous carbon, graphite and polyvinylpyrrolidone ethylenically at a ratio of 1:(0.02-20):(0.001-0.5):(0.02-20), where the sulfur/porous carbon composite material is dispersed in the surface of the porous carbon material to form pores, the porous carbon is activated carbon, graphene, carbon black, carbon nanotubes, template porous carbon, carbon fiber, carbon aerogel, carbide-derived carbon, and the polyvinylpyrrolidone modified graphene is obtained by adsorbing polyvinyl pyrrolidone through long carbon chain on the surface of graphene to form graphene derivatized material. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing a polyvinylpyrrolidone modified graphene coated sulfur/porous carbon composite material.
