NOVELTY - Modified lignin dispersant i.e. (4-(3-hydroxy-2-phenoxypropyl)phenol) (I) is new. USE - (I) is useful in thermally conductive cellulose composite film and for improving the dispersibility of two-dimensional materials (all claimed); the cellulose composite film is useful in the fields of electronic packaging materials and thermal conductivity materials. ADVANTAGE - The (I) maintains excellent dispersibility, and the Zeta potential reaches 45-63 mV; efficiently increases the formation and density of the heat conduction network. The composite film has enhanced thermal conductivity reaching 0.21-0.62 W.m-1.K-1in the vertical direction and 6.2-53.4 W.m-1.K-1in the horizontal direction. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Modified lignin dispersant i.e. (4-(3-hydroxy-2-phenoxypropyl)phenol) of formula (I) is new. R = H or methoxy group; R1= 1-methylpyrene, 5-(pyren-1-yl)pentan-2-one or sulfonic acid; and R2= 4-(pyren-1-yl)butanoic acid or sulfonic acid.
