NOVELTY - Composite particles are formed by preparing a polyion complex containing a cationic polymer and an anionic conductive material on the surface of the negatively charged active material particles. USE - Composite particles used for electrode for lithium-ion battery, lithium secondary battery, and lithium-ion capacitor. ADVANTAGE - The composite particles provides electrode having excellent electroconductivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of the composite particles, which involves (A) bringing the cationic polymer into contact with the surface of the negatively charged active material particles to prepare the cationic polymer-attached particles, and (B) bringing the anionic conductive material into contact with the cationic polymer-attached particles to attach a polyion complex containing the cationic polymer and the anionic conductive material to the surface of the active material particles.
