NOVELTY - Cathode composition comprises cathode binder comprising graphene oxide and at least one water-soluble polymer; cathode active material; and cathode conductive material. The graphene oxide has a lateral size of 0.3-20 μ m. The carbon/oxygen ratio of the graphene oxide is 0.5-3.5. The water-soluble polymer includes carboxymethyl cellulose-based polymer and its derivatives; water-soluble polyacrylic acid-based polymer; polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer; polyacrylonitrile-based polymer and/or polyacrylamide-based polymer. The water-soluble polymer is polymer of monomer including (meth)acrylamide group-containing compound; unsaturated organic acids or salts of unsaturated organic acids; and/or α ,β -unsaturated nitrile and hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate. The cathode conductive material includes point-shaped conductive material, planar conductive material and/or linear conductive material. The cathode active material includes silicon-based active material and/or carbon-based active material. USE - The composition is useful in cathode for lithium secondary battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The negative electrode binder suppresses volume expansion and contraction due to charge/discharge, and minimizes thickness change due to electrode swelling.
