NOVELTY - A synergistic flame retardant wood powder/polypropylene wood-plastic composite material comprises 30-60 pts. wt. modified wood powder, 40-70 pts. wt. polypropylene, 3-6 pts. wt. maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene, 2-6 pts. wt. nano-graphene, 8-12 pts. wt. ammonium polyphosphate, 1-2 pts. wt. lubricant and 1-2 pts. wt. additive. USE - Synergistic flame retardant wood powder/polypropylene wood-plastic composite material for manufacturing door, window, floor, furniture material and automobile material (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The synergistic flame retardant wood powder/polypropylene wood-plastic composite material greatly reduces the amount of ammonium polyphosphate, has improved flame retardance, physical and mechanical performance and heat resistance, and is prepared by simple process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation method of synergistic flame retardant wood powder/polypropylene wood-plastic composite material, which involves (1) weighing 30-60 pts. wt. modified wood powder, 40-70 pts. wt. polypropylene, 3-6 pts. wt. maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene, 2-6 pts. wt. nano-graphene, 8-12 pts. wt. ammonium polyphosphate, 1-2 pts. wt. lubricant and 1-2 pts. wt. additive, where the modified wood powder comprises 4-8 pts. wt. wood powder, 8-16 pts. wt. styrene, and 0.5-2 pts. wt. di-tert-butyl peroxide, (2) placing the raw materials into a mixing temperature control machine, stirring at 120-140 degrees C for 2-4 minutes until the moisture content of the material is 3%, and reducing the temperature to 40-50 degrees C to obtain premix, (3) adding the premix into an input feeder, adding torque rheometer at a feeding speed of 5 rpm, melt-kneading the mixture at 165-190 degrees C for 15-20 minutes to obtain wood-plastic composite material melt, and (4) molding or hot-press molding the wood-plastic composite material melt, cooling to room temperature, and leaving still.
