NOVELTY - The semiconductor device includes a transparent substrate (2) having a graphene film, a graphite film, or an amorphous carbon film. Carbon film (5) is transferred to the transparent substrate from a carbon material substrate using laser beam (3). The carbon material substrate is made from natural graphite, highly oriented property pyrolytic graphite, glassy carbon, carbon sheet, or carbon films. USE - Semiconductor device for liquid crystal display. Can also be used in an organic electroluminescent display. ADVANTAGE - Reduces manufacturing cost since manufacturing process is simplified. Lowers the temperature required for converting diamond to graphite, and enables reliably converting diamond to graphite. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a semiconductor device manufacturing method.
