NOVELTY - Preparation of platinum-based multi-element transition metal alloy nano electrocatalyst involves (A) dispersing the conductive carbon carrier in the polyol solution, adjusting the pH of the solution to 9 or more, (B) dissolving the platinum precursor and transition metal precursor in the polyol solution, adjusting the pH of the solution to 9 or more, (C) uniformly mixing the polyol solution of the platinum precursor and transition metal precursor with the conductive carbon polyol solution, (D) raising the temperature to 120-160 degrees C, reacting for 4-10 hours, (E) reducing the temperature to 20-50 degrees C, filtering, washing with hot water at 70-90 degrees C, drying, grinding to obtain powdery catalyst precursor, (F) heating the powdered catalyst precursor, and activating in a reducing atmosphere. USE - Preparation of nano electrocatalyst used in fuel cell (all claimed), petrochemical application, chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, automobile exhaust purification application.
