▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Sensor (700) for detecting a drug of abuse (DOA) in a sample, comprises at least one sensing unit, comprising a graphene layer (701); binding agents (703) that bind to the DOA coupled to the graphene layer to generate a functionalized graphene layer; and electrical conductors electrically coupled to the functionalized graphene layer for measuring an electrical property of the functionalized graphene layer. USE - The sensor is useful for detecting DOA in sample, where the DOA includes cocaine, cocaine metabolite, amphetamine, and opiate (claimed). ADVANTAGE - Improved systems are provided for rapid and accurate testing for drugs of abuse, such as cocaine, and particularly systems that can be employed as point-of-collection testing (POCT) devices or less costly laboratory-based systems. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) detecting DOA in a sample which involves applying the sample to a graphene layer functionalized with binding agents that bind to the DOA; measuring at least one electrical property of the functionalized graphene layer; and using the measured electrical property to determine whether the DOA is present in the sample; and (2) a disposable cartridge for detecting DOA in a sample, comprising a microfluidic component having an inlet port for receiving a sample and an exit port; and a sensor fluidically coupled to the microfluidic component to receive at least a portion of the sample from the exit port, where the sensor comprises: a graphene layer; binding agents that specifically bind to the DOA coupled to the graphene layer to generate a functionalized graphene layer; and electrical conductors electrically coupled to the functionalized graphene layer for measuring an electrical property of the functionalized graphene layer. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a schematic view of the sensor. Sensor (700) Graphene layer (701) Substrate (702) Binding agent (703) Voltage source (704)
