NOVELTY - Magnetic oxide graphite nanometer composite comprises graphene oxide and iron oxide magnetic nanometer granule. USE - Magnetic oxide-graphite nanometer composite used for killing bacteria, preferably Escherichia coli (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The magnetic oxide-graphite nanometer composite is prepared in simple, eco-friendly and cost-effective. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing magnetic oxide graphite nanometer composite, which involves: (A) putting graphite powder and mixture of sodium nitrate and sulfuric acid in ice water bath; (B) cooling the obtained material to 5 degrees C degrees centigrade; (C) adding potassium permanganate in the reaction mixture at 20 degrees C for 1-4 hours; (D) removing the reaction mixture from ice water bath; (E) keeping the obtained reaction liquid at 30-40 degrees C for 0.5-2 hours; (F) increasing the temperature of reaction mixture to 80-100 degrees C on an oil bath for 15-120 minutes; (G) reducing the temperature of reaction mixture to 30-40 degrees C; (H) adding hydrogen peroxide to the obtained material for cleaning; (I) freezing the obtained material; (J) drying the obtained material to obtain oxidized graphite; (K) adding the obtained graphite oxide in water; (L) processing the obtained material for ultrasonic dispersion to obtain graphene oxide; (M) adding ammonium iron(III)sulfate dodecahydrate and ferrous ammonium sulfate hexahydrate in water in presence of nitrogen; (N) stirring the obtained material; (O) adjusting the pH value of mixed solution to 8-11; (P) stirring the obtained material at 70-90 degrees C for 0.5-2 hours to obtain iron oxide magnetic nano-granule dispersion liquid; (Q) mixing the obtained graphene oxide and iron oxide magnetic nano-granule for 0.5-2 hours; (R) separating the solid from obtained material; and (S) washing the obtained solid product with water to obtain magnetic oxide graphite nanometer composite.
