NOVELTY - A coating composition comprises functionalized graphene and binder. USE - Coating composition used for coating substrate and article e.g. steel, metal substrate, automobile, ship, concrete surface, marine instrument, marine structure or construction structure (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - Corrosion, fouling and UV deterioration are prevented. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) process of coating substrate which involves applying the composition to surface of substrate to form a coating; (2) composition comprising functionalized graphene and resin in which functionalized graphene is reacted with resin to form a polymeric resin consisting of functionalized graphene and resin repeating units and resultant polymeric resin is used as coating; and (3) article comprising composition which is coated.
