NOVELTY - Preparation of bifunctional Pickering emulsion catalyst comprises using bifunctionalized graphene oxide material, ultrasonic treating, and mechanical stirring with benzaldehyde and water, where bifunctionalized graphene oxide material is prepared by simultaneously modifying 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane and 3-methyltrimethoxysilane on graphene oxide. USE - The method is used for preparing bifunctional Pickering emulsion catalyst in Knoevenagel condensation reaction (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The catalyst has simple preparation method, low preparation cost, high catalytic activity, and more than 24% conversion rate of benzaldehyde. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for use method of catalyst comprising performing Knoevenagel condensation reaction to benzaldehyde and malononitrile at 40 degrees C for 1 hour.
