NOVELTY - Composite anode material comprises active material comprising LiMnaFe1-aPO4, where a is 0-1. The lithium supplement containing manganese. The reaction activation energy of the manganese-containing lithium supplementing agent is lower than the reaction activation energy of the active material. USE - The composite anode material is useful in anode pole piece of electric device, preferably lithium ion battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material: has improved first coulombic efficacy; and can increase energy density from 86-93% and the gram capacity and electrochemical stability and provide a long period of cycling and storage.
