NOVELTY - High solubility multi-fold dry state graphene oxide microsphere, comprises the graphene oxide microspheres by the size of 1-200 mu m monolayer graphene oxide sheets multi-folds, the microspheres having a diameter of 500 nm-30 mu m, microsphere diameter is 500nm-30 mu m, density is 0.08-0.2 g/cm3, specific surface area is 10-2300 m2/g, and the carbon and oxygen ratio is 1.8-3. USE - The graphene oxide microsphere is useful for assemble macroscopic graphene material, functionalizing graphene and graphene composite materials and other fields. ADVANTAGE - The method can solves the graphene oxide solubility problem of poor existing drying method, the higher density facilitates transportation, storage and use, is simple and fast, low energy consumption, suitable for large-scale industrial production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparation of the graphene oxide microsphere comprising (i) using organic solvent diluting Hummers method of preparation to obtain graphene oxide dispersion liquid, the mass ratio of organic solvent and graphene oxide dispersion liquid is 1-50:1, the organic solvent at least satisfy the following conditions, (a) specific heat capacity of water is not greater than the specific heat capacity, (b) heat of vaporization not greater than the heat of vaporization of water, and (c) capable of forming an azeotrope with water system, and (ii) using resulting diluted dispersion liquid by atomized drying method to obtain the graphene oxide microsphere.
