▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Silicon carbide/graphene bionic composite material comprises silicon carbide and graphene; the graphene content is 0.3-6 vol.%, and remaining amount is silicon carbide; the composite material has a microstructure similar to abalone shell pearl layer, and shows that the graphene is distributed in the silicon carbide substrate in preferred orientation in the form of sheets, the average pitch of graphene sheets is 20 nm to 200 mu m. USE - The composite material is useful for bullet-proof armor (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite material: has high strength, high hardness, simple production process, good fracture toughness, impact toughness and resistance to multiple impacts; and can actively improves the protection effect and durability of bulletproof armor. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the silicon carbide/graphene bionic composite material comprising (1) preparing water-based slurry containing silicon carbide powder, graphene nanosheet, sintering auxiliary agent and additive, and dispersing the slurry uniformly; (2) directionally solidifying the slurry through the freezing casting process, and vacuum freeze-drying to obtain porous body with oriented sheet structure; and (3) compressing the blank in the direction perpendicular to the sheet layer, and reusing organic matter removal treatment process and sintering densification process to obtain silicon carbide/graphene bionic composite material for bulletproof armor.
