NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene composite sponge involves (1) thermally expanding graphite intercalation compound, ultrasonically vibrating, drying, obtaining expanded graphene sheet, (2) grinding and mixing the expanded graphene sheet and polyethylene glycol octylphenyl ether in a mass ratio of 1: 8-10, obtaining a Triton (RTM: polyethylene glycol tert-octylphenyl ether) modified expanded graphene sheet, (3) mixing Triton (RTM: polyethylene glycol tert-octylphenyl ether) modified expanded graphene sheet with deionized water, stirring well, obtaining a mixed solution containing 0.47-1.43 wt.% expanded graphene sheet, (4) using sponge having porosity of 88.725 plus minus 0.53%, density of 15-17 kg/m3, diameter of 2 plus minus 0.2 mu m, immersing sponge in the mixed solution, ultrasonically processing, and drying. USE - Preparation of graphene composite sponge for deformation sensor, sound insulation material and super capacitor in monitoring engineering material (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, economical, suitable for large-scale production, and provides multifunctional anti-fatigue graphene composite sponge with high yield. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) graphene composite sponge; and (2) use of multifunctional anti-fatigue graphene composite sponge for deformation sensor, sound insulation material and super capacitor in a monitoring engineering material.
