NOVELTY - Preparing graphene electrode comprises (i) weighing graphene oxide in beaker, adding deionized water, ultrasonically dispersing, and placing in homogenizer for high-speed stirring to obtain graphene oxide dispersion; (ii) weighing polytetrafluoroethylene powder in beaker, adding ethanol, and placing it in homogenizer to stir evenly to obtain polytetrafluoroethylene dispersion; (iii) placing graphene oxide dispersion in water bath for heating and stirring, and dropwise adding polytetrafluoroethylene dispersion during stirring process to obtain graphene oxide slurry; and (iv) pouring graphene oxide slurry obtained in step (iii) into petri dish, placing it in blast drying box for drying to obtain semi-solid graphene oxide slurry; rolling the semi-solid slurry by electric roller press to obtain graphene oxide electrode material; cutting the obtained graphene oxide electrode material into square pieces, adding them in nylon filter bag, and placing them in beaker containing deionized water. USE - The graphene electrode is useful for capacitive deionization (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene electrode: has good stability, electrochemical performance, and excellent capacitance desalination performance. The method: is simple, environmentally friendly, and convenient to operate; and provides technical support for large-scale and low-cost preparation of thin-film electrodes.
