NOVELTY - Material comprises polymeric material whose physical and chemical properties are modified with changes in temperature, particles of electrically conductive material in amount equal to or greater than threshold of electrical percolation of self-healing polymeric material, and pair of electrodes configured to apply current intensity I in region of material. USE - Material used in coating paint or as integral portion of article (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material has easy processing, shaping and recyclability, and increases useful life and durability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a method for evaluating structural state of material, which involves applying current intensity (I1) of between 5 microampere and 1 milliampere in pair of electrodes of material, where when initial electrical resistivity Omega 0 changes instantly at value Omega 1 greater than or equal to 1.1x Omega 0, there is structural defect; and (2) a method for detecting and repairing structural defect in material, which involves applying current intensity (I1) of between 5 microampere and 1 milliampere in one pair of electrodes of material, and when initial electrical resistivity Omega 0 changes instantaneously to value Omega 1 greater than or equal to 1.1x Omega 0 between pair of electrodes, increasing intensity of current applied between pair of electrodes, from value h to value I2 which produces resistive heating of material up to temperature of 40-200 degrees C in zone located between pair of electrodes, and keeping applied intensity I2 constant until resistivity of material reaches value Omega 2 not less than 1.05x Omega 0.
