NOVELTY - Composite material comprises graphene oxide is coated on the surface of the aminated graphite oxide. USE - The composite material is useful in lithium ion battery (claimed), preferably used as the cathode material of the lithium ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The composite material: can improve the mass specific capacity and optimize the cycle performance under high rate of the lithium ion battery; and preparation method is simple and economical and utilizes small amount of graphene and mild conditions. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: Preparing composite material using amination reagent comprising at least one of triethylenetetramine, ammonium bicarbonate, ethylenediamine and/or N,N-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide, preferably triethylenetetramine; and Lithium ion battery.
