NOVELTY - Method for preparing cuprous oxide embedded graphene superfine composite ball involves (i) dissolving gelatin and graphene oxide in deionized water and putting into an ultrasonic device to carry out ultrasonic treatment to obtain a uniformly-dispersed gelatin-graphene mixed solution, (ii) dissolving copper sulfate pentahydrate and polyethylene glycol in deionized water and stirring at room temperature, (iii) dripping a solution obtained in the step (ii) into the gelatin graphene mixed solution in a heating state and continuously stirring to obtain a mixed solution, (iv) dripping a glucose solution into the mixed solution in the heating state and continuously stirring and (v) dripping a sodium hydroxide solution into the mixed solution obtained in the step (iv) in the heating state, continuously stirring, centrifuging, washing and drying. USE - The method is useful for preparing cuprous oxide embedded graphene superfine composite ball used as a photocatalyst material for degrading organic dye methyl orange (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite ball has uniform distribution, excellent spherical property and high activity and adopts cost-effective and pollution-free preparation method. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the composite ball prepared by the above method, where the grain size of the composite ball is 200-500 nm and a mass percentage of cuprous oxide embedded in graphene is 1-25%.
