▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Particles are treated by disaggregating, deagglomerating, exfoliating, cleaning, functionalizing, doping, decorating and/or repairing particles, in which particles are subjected to plasma treatment in treatment chamber (10) containing electrodes which project in chamber and plasma is generated by electrodes which are moved during plasma treatment to agitate the particles. USE - Treating particles for repairing defects in fullerene or graphene containing nanoparticles (claimed) used for product of composite material. ADVANTAGE - The method avoids formation of unwanted defects, occurrence of unwanted functionalization, and occurrence of destruction of layers on particles. The apparatus can produce nanoparticles having better properties and characteristics, such as highly crystalline nanoparticles and nanoparticles having reduced tendency to aggregate or agglomerate. The treated particles enable formation of product of composite material with enhanced mechanical properties, improved glass transition temperature, improved fire retardancy, improved barrier properties, such as resistance to liquid and/or gas ingress, improved shielding against electromagnetic interference, and improved dissipation of electrostatic charge. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) apparatus for treating particles in treatment method which comprises treatment chamber containing electrodes, in which each electrode is for generating plasma and electrodes are moveable to agitate particles disposed in treatment chamber; and (2) repairing defects in fullerene or graphene containing nanoparticles in which nanoparticles are subjected to a plasma treatment and plasma is formed in carbon containing gas or gaseous mixture including carbon containing gas, and carbon containing gas is present in amount sufficient to repair defects in nanoparticles.
