NOVELTY - An anisotropic graphene toughened aluminum oxide nano-composite ceramic tool material comprises 0.25-5 vol.% graphene, 0.25-5 vol.% magnesium oxide, 0.5-5 vol.% molybdenum, 0.5-5 vol.% nickel and remaining of aluminum oxide. The anisotropic graphene toughened aluminum oxide nano-composite ceramic tool material is prepared by mixing above raw materials and sintering by hot pressing. The average particle diameter of aluminum oxide is 100-500 nm. The graphene is graphene nanosheet and average thickness is 0.34-50 nm. The average length of graphene is 1-50 mu m. USE - Anisotropic graphene toughened aluminum oxide nano-composite ceramic tool material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The nano-composite ceramic tool material has high graphene toughening effect and high mechanical properties.
