NOVELTY - A graphite composite material includes a core material, and a carbon layer coated on the surface of the core material. The core material includes nanosheet materials and graphite nanoparticles, and has a sandwich structure. The graphite nanoparticles are adhered between the nanosheet materials. USE - The graphite composite material is useful as catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction in fuel cell (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphite composite material has high catalytic activity and durability, does not undergo cross-interference easily, and can be prepared by an economical method. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the graphite composite material, which involves: adding a basic dye and/or dopamine to graphite nanoparticles-containing solution to obtain a mixed solution; adding an activator and the nanosheet material to the mixed solution, mixing, dispersing, and drying to obtain a precursor; and carbonizing the precursor under protective gas.
