NOVELTY - The sensor film (10) has a random network of metal lines (18) and graphene interconnecting the metal lines. A flexible substrate is attached to the sensor film. A composite electrode from the sensor film comprises a first portion that includes a metal layer in a graphene layer. The composite electrode a second portion that excludes the metal layer and that includes the graphene layer. Multiple sensor films or composite electrodes provide a sheet resistance of about 1 ohm/square to about 10 ohm/square and transmittance of at least about 90%. USE - Sensor film. ADVANTAGE - The improved sensitivity to local electronic properties without sacrificing mechanical toughness, scratch resistance, optical transparency and resistance to debris is achieved by providing the flexible devices. The minimized cost is achieved because of the lithography-free processes. The efficient absorption with light from a laser beam is achieved by providing the exfoliation layer.
